Ranger Tugs at Winter Island Yacht Yard

Winter Island Yacht Yard is an owner-operated, dry storage, full service repair facility with a full-time, year-round crew. The boatyard was established in 1926.

Located in Historic Salem, Massachusetts, we are situated in the Salem Willows area of the city on Winter Island Road, just down the street from the former US Coast Guard Base. By sea, you will find us nestled in Juniper Cove, a beautiful, peaceful setting just north of the entrance to Salem Harbor.

Our goal is quality work at an honest, competitive price. We uphold a strong Christian code of ethics, and serve our customers with integrity.

We look forward to serving your boating needs. Stop by and say hello!

Check out Sea Magazine's Ranger R31 Sea Trial - a review.

There is a lot to read here, from reviewers who experience a lot of boats and pull no punches. The tester's opinion: "Ranger has done an excellent job with its new flagship. The R-31 is fast and comfortable, but it can also cruise at lower, more economical speeds. The builder has addressed many of the issues that owners of small cruisers have been complaining about for years." The article ends with a solid thumbs up: "The entire range has been a success story in the boating field. This latest offering should add to that success. The R-31 is a must-see for people looking for a comfortable coastal cruiser, regardless of which coast they live on."
